Encore
An act for all ages
Our nation’s seniors represent a rich and largely untapped resource. Their knowledge, wisdom and skills have been developed and honed over decades of experience. By sharing these priceless assets, they can continue to make a formidable contribution to society. For the young, this treasure is arguably the most valuable part of their inheritance. The Encore programme has been conceived to facilitate this second act in the lives of our senior citizens, to bring them back into the arena for the benefit of all ages.
How it works
Encore will be a platform for linking people who have skills to teach with those who want to learn.

The programme is based on the idea that the best way to support people who are retiring or retired is to enable them to share their skills. This way, they are able to forge new connections, and stay active, physically and mentally.

Encore will offer a range of useful classes, talks, workshops and tours, all taught by seniors with the requisite experience and expertise. These sessions will be open to all interested members of the public, and the course fees will be very affordable.

The courses will be selected and developed by matching suggestions by elders with the needs of the young. They will be designed so they are lengthy enough to do justice to the subject, while short enough to fit busy schedules.
How you can
participate
If you are over 55 years of age, retired or about to retire, and have knowledge and skills that you’d like to share, then please do get in touch with us. We will respond to you within a few working days.
